About Gillespie Ranch

Gillespie Ranch is located in the Southern Sacramento Mountains of south-central New Mexico in Otero County. We are at 7,300 ft elevation and our ranch encompasses 30,000 acres. We have MANY miles of trails that range from easy to difficult. Trails can be accessed right from the RV park and corrals. The RV Park has 11 full hook-up sites, 24 horse pens (15' x 15' fully covered pipe pens) and a large pavilion with a large fire pit, grills and picnic tables. We also have two cozy cabins that can be rented. Amenities include a round pen, full sized roping arena, a leather shop that offers premade items and custom-made items, and a "treasures" shop with a few thousand items (antiques, one of a kind rustic artwork, tees, horsehair jewelry, Native American sterling silver and turquoise jewelry, enamelware, vintage things, etc.).

Kent, Susan and Cole moved to Mayhill in 1999 and established Gillespie Ranch. Over the years the family has worked hard to build the ranch and make improvements throughout the forest. Amongst the many trails and thousands of acres of national forest you can find watering troughs for your horses as well as plenty of wildlife and gorgeous views.
